self care is less about.png

Hey There

I ran a Woman's Adventure Club for close to nine years and the excuse I heard the most was that they didn't have enough time for themselves. It's not about time because we certainly can find the time to run all over for our children's or parent's schedule of wants or needs that are to be met. If you run out of steam then you CANNOT give the impact of the life of that steam to someone else to support. If you try, they will end up feeling guilty for your burnout and you will feel "less than" in your effort to give. The issue is about depriving YOU a right to self-care through stress management that focuses soley on you and your significance. Time to reign in putting you at the bottom of the "to-do" list.

All About YOU

"Incorporating  self-care activities saved me from my mind.  A mind that believed that something was wrong with me. I was told that girls didn't do certain things; and, as an adult, I challenged that notion- I became an avid runner , learned to shoot a gun, play in a poker league, and backpack around the world. That's BIG girl fun. It started with Marla helping me find pockets of time where I could implement daily practices of mindful activities that taught me to be kind and patient with myself and my focus grew from there. "

A self-care practice is the first step towards optimal change. And that's a step, along with the next one, that Marla can help you with."

"Working with Marla has helped me to SEE the BRIGHTER SIDE of LIFE.

A wonderful change from a life for me where I once felt "I'm not good enough" or "I'll never measure up" or just feeling guilty for having certain feelings about my mother.

A lot of the time I was feeling insecure, guilty, unworthy and angry.

With Marla's help and guidance I have started gaining the understanding and awareness of why I feel this way.

Marla has helped me to start learning to accept and appreciate myself. To get to a place of less self criticism and anger.  It will be a continuous journey of learning and growing but definitely worth the positive outcome.

Because of Marla's help I have been given the stepping stones of where to start.  Thank you Marla for this."
